Psalm 119: Qoph This Hebrew Letter of the Alphabet Emphasize a Deep Yearning and Earnest Seeking of God

Invitation to a Celtic Morning Preparation for Whatever May Come

I cry out with my whole heart;

With kindness, hear my plea.

O LORD, I long to keep Your word;

And this is what I seek.

You saved me, and You make me strong.

I follow and obey

To keep my testimony clean;

To rise and greet the day.

For in my preparation for the hour,

My hope has helped me walk in faith and power.

I search Your word all through the darkest night

To meditate and pray.

[Instrumental]

Now, hear my voice in keeping

With kindnesses You bring

Contingent on Your love, O, LORD,

Preserve me on Your wing!

Your justice, LORD, is all my hope,

As death flows into life;

For wicked ones draw near to me;

Far from Your law, they ride.

But You are near, and Your commands are true;

And clearly all Your witnesses are proof.

I knew their golden timbre in my youth—

The harp You set in stone!

[instrumental]

In the Berean Standard Bible, these verses emphasize a deep yearning and earnest seeking of God:

"I call with all my heart; answer me, O LORD! I will obey Your statutes. I call to You; save me, that I may keep Your testimonies. I rise before dawn and cry for help; in Your word I have put my hope. My eyes anticipate the watches of night, that I may meditate on Your promise. Hear my voice, O LORD, according to Your loving devotion; give me life according to Your justice. Those who pursue evil plans draw near; they are far from Your law. You are near, O LORD, and all Your commandments are true. Long ago I learned from Your testimonies that You have established them forever." (Psalm 119:145-152)
